Teacher Education in ICT

There are two reports on Teacher Training in Switzerland available: The first report is an integral part of the Swiss Country Report, the second has been published at the end of 2010 and focuses on a study by the Hasler Foundation on the Role of ICT in Teacher Training in Switzerland. Both have been published in the context of EUN.

Swiss Country Report on ICT in Education
The 2006 report of the CTIE on teachers’ professional development in ICT use stresses that considerable progress has been made since the last report was published in 2001.
Case Study - The role of ICT in teacher training
Development of teachers’ competence in ICT use is mainly organised in optional, in-service training courses although some courses have been made compulsory.
